I'm grateful to have won an 85mL bottle of Australian Jojoba, plus The Jojoba Company's Ultimate Serum & Youth Potion in a Beautyheaven competition. I trialled each product separately & then used all three together. The Jojoba Company's Australian Jojoba is superior to other jojobas I've tried! Perhaps it's due to their use of Australian Wadi-Wadi jojoba; maybe it's their process of filtering it 14 times - it's most likely this combination of factors that makes it more effective than other brands of jojoba. The general rule of thumb with facial oils is the darker the oil, the more potent it is - this jojoba is a vivid yellow. The pump dispenses enough jojoba to spread across my face, neck & décolletage. Others may use jojoba on their body or hair. Daily use has not triggered my blemish-prone skin - it leaves my whole complexion looking bright & feeling nourished. The Jojoba Company's Ultimate Youth Potion is one of the best serums I've tried! I'm grateful to have won this Youth Potion plus The Jojoba Company's Ultimate Serum & pure Jojoba in a Beautyheaven competition. I trialled each product separately & then used all three together. The sturdy clear glass bottle holds a yellow serum with a noticeable but pleasant scent & a light oil feel, yet it sinks into my skin quickly without leaving a greasy residue. My skin is blemish-prone, but I've used this Youth Potion daily without issue. The gold-tone pump dispenses a small quantity of serum, yet it's sufficient for my whole face. It makes a marvelous primer: my sunscreen or foundation glides on effortlessly after application. After prolonged use, my skin appears noticeably firmer. Australian-made & owned. PAO 12M. This clear serum has a light creme-gel consistency with a very mild, sweet scent. The clear frosted glass bottle has a gold-tone pump dispenser. One tiny squirt is enough to spread around my entire face. My skin felt softer immediately after use - prolonged use made my skin feel firmer. This serum is too rich for me to use daily as my skin is highly blemish-prone - luxe serums & creams are often too rich for me. I use this serum twice weekly. I was gifted a Glasshouse Forever Florence candle in the unlisted 30g size. I would never have purchased it as white flowers, especially jasmine, are one of my migraine triggers; yet I've enjoyed this candle without suffering any ill effects. For its diminutive size, the scent-throw is greater than expected. I'm unable to differentiate the individually listed fragrance notes. I'd describe Forever Florence as a sweet blend of white flowers. I recommend it & may purchase this candle in a larger size.

I've used many different brow fibre gels & for the most part, they're similar in use & efficacy, but Revlon Colorstay Brow Fibre Filler is, without a doubt, the worst one I've tried. Revlon products are generally very high quality, but this is an exception. I'm still at the beginning of the tube & it takes about four dips into the tube to deposit enough product onto each brow - & this is still a light coating! - I'm not a fan of a heavy, bold brow. The 2-in-1 applicator is a good idea but difficult to wield: it has a short mascara-like spoolie to apply the gel.; & just below the spoolie is a straight little brow brush to smooth the brows after application. When I use this gel, I must rotate the spoolie to avoid messy accidental swipes with the brow brush. I'm generally very dextrous & can create a faultless winged eyeliner using a brush & tube of liquid liner, yet this combo brush tries my patience. For that reason, I've frequently skipped using this brow gel. Once applied, the fibre gel formulation stays in place without smudging or sweating off. Removal takes some scrubbing with makeup remover, which I don't mind as it demonstrates excellent endurance. REPURCHASE? No, & I can't wait until the tube is empty. I've been using L'Oréall ELVIVE Total Repair 5 CICA Cream for a few weeks & intend to discard the unused portion. When I freshly apply this white cream from my mid-lengths down, my hair looks soft & shiny, & my damaged ends appear less frazzled. My problem manifests the following day: I wake with badly matted hair, which is difficult to detangle. After being in bed with a three-day migraine, my hair matted into a single thick dreadlock that took hours to disentangle. I frequently suffer migraines that last for days, but this degree of knotting was highly unusual.

I own two SinfulColors Pearl nail colours: 112 Tokyo Pearl, a classic pearly white, & 322 Let Me Go, a light grey that reflects pink, blue & mauve. The two colours I own vary in consistency. Let Me Go is better described as a top coat. It's runny & remains semi-transparent even after multiple coats. It has a stunning pearlescent sheen when worn over white nail polish. Worn over a black base, it transforms into a vibrant pearlescent green! Its longevity depends on whichever nail polish I wear underneath it. Tokyo Pearl applies streaky, but it's not always apparent until I'm outdoors in natural light. Its endurance is average - I get chips after three or four days. REPURCHASE? No. I love other SinfulColors nail polishes which I've tried, but I'll stick to other brands' pearl nail colours. Made in USA. I used Revlon® ColorSilk™ #48 Burgundy on my naturally brown, greying hair. I don't use colour-protecting shampoo or conditioner because they don't keep my oily hair clean. I use deep cleansing shampoo 2-3 times weekly to keep the oiliness at bay, but it washed away the colour. I had greys peeking through after two weeks. Quality hair colours withstand my deep cleansing shampoo & the only greys I see are new growth. Regular home colourists will find this Revlon kit similar to most other brands. Everything required comes supplied in the box & the multi-language instructions are easy to follow. The colour crème was a runny dark amber liquid. When added to the developer, the mixture was runnier than most other brands, so be careful of drips when applying. I popped a shower cap on while the colour developed. The recommended development time is 25 minutes or 30 minutes for resistant greys. For root-only applications, leave to develop for 20 minutes or 25 minutes for resistant greys. I used the maximum development time of 30 minutes. The conditioner smelt divine, but there wasn't enough for a single use. My hair felt dry & coarse after colouring, but by the second shampoo using my regular conditioner, it had resumed its usual state of health. REPURCHASE? No. Made in USA. I own a few of the regular SuperStay 24hr lippies & they've got wonderful longevity. This red-labelled Super Impact shade does not last as well. It requires two or more coats for complete opacity. After a cuppa, I'm left patchy & in need of a touch-up. 24Hrs? No way! 24/7 Fuchsia is a gorgeous deep pink/fuchsia with a blue/violet iridescence. I've had trouble with the poor longevity of duochrome-type lip colours in the past. The other three colours in the Super Impact range don't appear to be duochrome. Perhaps they're more long lasting? Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner for Damaged Hair is a lightly-scented thick white cream conditioner. My damaged ends feel so soft & manageable that it's surprising as I didn't have a favourable impression of Dove haircare. Some conditioners become less effective withregular use, but I had consistent results to the end of the bottle. I did not use this conditioner with its matching shampoo because I prefer deep cleansing shampoos on my oily roots. I believe it's a marketing myth that one should use shampoo & conditioner from the same range. I would repurchase Dove Intensive Repair & might consider other conditioners from Dove. Made in Thailand.
